Art Reproduction services at our studio in Vasse, Western Australia under a coloured managed and proofed workflow. All works, including framed pieces, can be succesfully reproduced.

In addition to our studio-based Art Reproduction service, TAKUMI Studio offers a mail-in Art Reproduction service for clients throughout the South West, Great Southern and Greater Perth regions.

Please note we are currently unable to accept additional Art Reproduction work at this point in time as we have reached a full roster of artists. We will post an update here when this changes. You can still take advantage of our Fine Art Printing services. Thank you

Art Reproduction Services

TAKUMI Studio provides art reproduction services for artists wishing to create prints from their original works.

We offer an in-house solution producing colour matched, high resolution digital files. All reproductions are created using coloured calibrated lighting with high resolution camera equipment, to reproduce digital files that can be printed larger than the original work.

Our art reproduction solutions are coloured matched against the original work with prints on your choice of fine art paper stock from Hahnemühle, Canson and Ilford.

Clients also have the option of mailing their artwork directly to the studio.

Please note: We only offer art reproduction services to the original creator of an artwork and reserve the right to seek further evidence of original creation of any works presented to us for reproduction.

Through our Art Reproduction services, TAKUMI Studio assist artists in creating digital reproductions of their original works enabling them to create limited or open edition print runs in a range of sizes. We offer a broad selection of paper media to suit each style, aesthetic and technique.

What sets TAKUMI Studio apart from other printing options?

Our printing process incorporates a colour managed workflow. From preparing a file for print, to proof viewing, to printing your work with a colour profile that is specifically matched to each printer and media type to achieve superb colour consistency.

The large format EPSON printers that we print with, use UltraChrome inks, regarded for their fidelity, durability, gamut and permanance.

Our EPSON printers use a range of colour and black/gray inks to produce incredible colour vibrancy and consistency, along with small tonal gradations. Images are matched to specific paper types to produce exceptional results.

We offer a range of paper/media options from some of the most regarded paper manufacturers in the world including Canson (established in 1557) and Hahnemühle (established in 1584).

In summary, our printing services produce works with a long term permanence, in a colour managed environment on a range of best in industry media, producing consistent and durable results that will add long-term value to your work.

What are Archival/Museum quality prints?

Archival quality prints are essentially the combination of aqueous/pigment inks on select acid-free media types to produce printed works that have long-term permanence and could be considered to museum collections.

What does this mean for me an artist?
If you want to offer your clients the highest quality printed works that are synonymous with the quality of your original work, then we strongly suggest that you consider the archival qualities of what you are selling. We offer a couple of price points that help you to achieve your price positioning within your market. We are always happy to present you with some options for consideration.
Quality is a natural value-add.

Process

01.

Set up & Digital Capture

Digital Capture of your artwork using colour controlled lighting and high resolution cameras to create a RAW file/s on your artwork. Finished pieces can be removed from the frame and re-framed as required, or with the use of polarised lighting, we can remove the reflections from glass or metallic elements as required.

Digital File Production

The RAW files are enhanced for lighting, contrast and colour matched to your original works. We employ the power of Adobe® Photoshop® to do the heavy lifting and remove any distracting elements, dust or marks from the original piece.

Print Proofs

A print proof is produced from the digital file to confirm the colour matching of the original file. An A4 proof on your choice of paper is included in the reproduction cost, as well as a Full Resolution image strip printed 5 inch wide on 17-inch roll of our stock proofing paper for reproductions A3 and larger.

04.

Print Ready Files

We create 3 sized, and print-ready files, of your work in digital form. Additional A4 proofs on our wide selection of fine art paper stock are available for $7.70 incl GST. Art Reproduction clients are also eligible to a 15% discount on edition printing of 10 or more prints at each size.
